The Work

The work, done on behalf of the Weatherization Assistance Program, includes:

  • Insulating (e.g., cellulose, spray foam, rigid foam)
  • Air sealing (top and bottom of buildings)
  • Cleaning, tuning, and repairing heating systems
  • Installing ventilation to improve indoor air quality
  • Improving duct work
  • Doing minor structural repairs
  • Coaching clients on other ways to save energy

Who They Are Looking For

Dependable individuals who have:

  • The desire to help those in need
  • A driver's license or the desire to get one (we can help)
  • A high school diploma or the desire to get one (we can help)
  • Basic construction or carpentry skills
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • The ability to:
    • Do physically-demanding work
    • Follow established health and safety procedures
    • Use power tools and equipment, safely
    • Work professionally
