The Work
The work, done on behalf of the Weatherization Assistance Program, includes:
- Insulating (e.g., cellulose, spray foam, rigid foam)
- Air sealing (top and bottom of buildings)
- Cleaning, tuning, and repairing heating systems
- Installing ventilation to improve indoor air quality
- Improving duct work
- Doing minor structural repairs
- Coaching clients on other ways to save energy
Who They Are Looking For
Dependable individuals who have:
- The desire to help those in need
- A driver's license or the desire to get one (we can help)
- A high school diploma or the desire to get one (we can help)
- Basic construction or carpentry skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to:
- Do physically-demanding work
- Follow established health and safety procedures
- Use power tools and equipment, safely
- Work professionally
