A program that pairs new foster parents with experienced foster parents who have been trained as mentors.
NEW FOSTER PARENTS
While foster parenting is exciting and rewarding, it can also be challenging and frustrating. Especially during the first few months. Wouldn’t it be nice to have someone who knows the ins and outs of the foster care system to help guide you?
Mentors can provide the information, coaching, support & encouragement you need to be successful. They have been in your shoes!
CURRENT FOSTER PARENTS
When foster parents feel listened to and supported, they are more confident and likely to stay with the work. By mentoring new foster parents, you’re helping to ensure the stability & success of the children placed in their homes.
Share what you’ve learned and help support children and youth in care!
