Family Supportive Housing Jobs


Our Family Supportive Housing (FSH) partners are hiring service coordinators across the state. The FSH Service Coordinator is an experienced professional who works intensively with individuals and families experiencing homelessness by providing housing case management and coordination of services.

These are full-time, year-round positions requiring a bachelor’s degree in education, human services, counseling or a related field. Four years of relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree. Positions provide a competitive salary, excellent benefits, a network of support, ongoing training, and more.


The Work

The role of the FSH Service Coordinator is to work collaboratively with agencies and community partners to support FSH clients in further developing life skills and accessing resources that will lead to permanent housing and a positive quality of life.

Who We Are Looking For

Dependable individuals who:

  • Manage a caseload of between 12 to 15 families.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Display caring, respect, resilience, adaptability, and excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Have experience working in home or community settings with families and children; experience with home visiting preferred.
  • Have experience working with families with complex needs.
  • Are knowledgeable about community resources and can teach simple life skills, including budgeting, healthy eating, and personal safety.
  • Demonstrated the ability to work effectively as part of a team and have good problem-solving skills.
  • Have the ability to:
    • Work professionally with coworkers and clients.
    • Maintain confidentiality in accordance with the agency’s policies and the law.
    • Maintain appropriate records as needed.
    • Track and enter client data entry and prepare reports as needed.
    • Review and develop additional programs if needed.
    • Attend local and state housing coalition meetings, and other meetings as assigned.
    • Perform any additional administrative or other duties, as needed.
    • Attend agency events, public awareness activities, education sessions, and fundraising events as workload allows.
