The licensing team worked with federal technical assistance to develop comprehensive health and safety monitoring checklists for afterschool child care programs, center based child care and preschool programs, and family child care homes.
As of April 7, more Vermont families qualify for financial assistance to help pay for regulated child care, preschool, and afterschool care. For example, a family of four earning $124,800 per year qualifies.
The State has set up short-term transitional shelters to support people experiencing homelessness who do not qualify for General Assistance Emergency Housing so are no longer eligible for state funded rooms in hotels/motels unless established weather conditions are met.
As of March 1, the Department for Children and Families (DCF) is pleased to announce the successful continuation of sheltering all Vermonters currently in a room and eligible for the General Assistance Emergency Housing program.
