The Vermont Intelligence Center has received information that cyber criminals are exploiting an ongoing global issue with Windows-based systems, and a related Microsoft outage.
The Child Development Division (CDD) has learned that a number of providers in the state have received emails that appear to be fraudulent from people posing as CDD staff. Please be aware that this may be an issue; if you receive suspicious emails that appear to be from CDD—including emails that request sensitive, personal, or financial information—please contact your IT provider.
If you have questions about whether or not an email that you have received is actually from CDD, please contact the CDD licensor on duty at 1-800-649-2642 option 3 or write us at AHS.DCFCDDChildcareLicensing@vermont.gov.
