New CDD Child Care Quality Program Administrator

I am excited to announce that Rey Garofano has accepted the position of Child Care Quality Program Administrator.  This position leads and supports CDD’s Systems and Community Collaboration Unit.  Rey comes to CDD with a B.S. in Business Administration from Champlain College and a certificate from the Vermont Child Welfare Training Partners in Fundamentals in Trauma Informed Practice.  She comes to CDD with 13 years of experience with state government with a strong background in Federal and State regulation, compliance, process improvement, and facilitation. Most recently Rey worked with Family Supportive Housing in the Office of Economic Opportunity.
 
Rey is the former board chair at The Schoolhouse Learning Center and is excited to use her skills and experience to collaborate with the CDD team in strategic planning and integration, policy and programmatic development, and advancing positive relationships with community partners.  She describes herself as positive, reliable and a chauffeur to her 8-year old busy daughter. She currently resides in Essex, Vermont with her husband and daughter and enjoys traveling and entertaining.
