The Child Development Division has just posted the following three job positions. These are part of the Division Preschool Development Grant Birth to Five (PDG B-5) grant. Communications and Outreach Coordinator - Limited Service

Job duties consist of assist in communication, community relations and information activities, particularly as related to activities related to the PDG B-5 grant. Manage the CDD website information and social media sites. Maintains updates to and monitors the website. Uses design software and consults with partners and stakeholders. Assists in data analysis. Drafts and edits documentation, presentation, and communication. This position is a full time and based in our Waterbury offices.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, advertising, English, or technical and business writing AND two (2) years or more of experience in communications, public or media relations, marketing, policy writing, or consumer education.
OR
Four (4) years or more of experience in communications, public or media relations, marketing, policy writing, or consumer education.

Contracts and Grants Administrator - Limited Service

The job duties consist of drafting and processing contract and grants, including amendments. Manages competitive procurement activities for PDG B-5. Tracks all PDG B-5 grants and contracts. Manages processing of PDG B-5 sub-grantee and vendor invoices. Provides guidance and training to staff on procurement practices.  Prepares federal reporting documentation. This position is full time and based in our Waterbury offices.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in public or business administration, finance, or accounting AND four (4) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of contracts, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.
OR
Two years or more of full-time college coursework or an associate's degree in public or business administration, finance, or accounting AND six (6) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of contracts, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.
OR
High School diploma or equivalent AND eight (8) years or more of experience in the review and/or administration of contracts, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.

Grant Programs Manager - Limited Service

The job duties consist of managing the day to day operational aspects of the PDG B-5 grant.  Schedules, facilitates and keeps records of meetings.  Acts as primary contact with the federal program officer and federal technical assistance liaisons.  Prepares and submits written reports of grantee activities for federal reporting.  Tracks and reports on grant activities, milestones and deliverable for all project activities. Monitors the project budget.  This position is full time and based in our Waterbury offices.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in financial management, grants administration, program evaluation or closely related field AND three (3) years or more at a professional level in accounting, financial auditing work, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.
OR
Master's degree or higher in business or public administration AND two (2) years or more at a professional level in accounting, financial auditing work, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.
OR
Five (5) year or more at a professional level in accounting, financial auditing work, grants administration, or in a role with responsibility for management of financial affairs, or a governmental accounting system.
