Policy Director (Req ID: 14701)

The Child Development Division (CDD) is looking for a skilled professional to lead the Division in strategic planning, integrated policy development, accountability, continuous quality improvement, and effective internal and external communication across all units, programs, processes, and services of the Division. This position is responsible for developing and coordinating integrated polices, regulations and operating procedures across the Division's programs and services, coordinates and collaborates in key partnerships with other state departments and agencies including the Vermont Department of Health, the Agency of Education, and the Department of Mental Health.

Develops and leads communication and public relation strategies and activities designed to enhance public understanding of child development programs and services. Responsibility for preparing or reviewing written and oral reports and assessing actual or potential impact of Division services, policies, and procedures and recommends changes or improvements when needed. Leadership and management experience preferred.

Data Analyst and Information Administrator (Req ID: 14722)

The Child Development Division (CDD) is looking for a skilled professional to lead the Division, in partnership with the Agency of Digital Services, in the development of databases, and to serve as technical expert on data structure and linking multiple data sets. The role requires a high level of proficiency in database development and management, statistical data analysis, report development, web-based publishing, and written communication. Responsibility to oversee and implement the data collection, management, analysis, and reporting requirements for the CDD, including providing technical assistance to internal staff and external partners.

Responsible for monitoring the quality of the CDD service delivery through reports, quality improvement plans, and data quality control. Supervision is exercised over professional employees who are responsible for the CDD data system, as well as communications for the division. The successful candidate must have the ability to compile, analyze, and review complex organizational and procedural problems and make sound recommendations; to present complex concepts and analyses to a wide range of audiences; to prepare clear and accurate reports; and to communicate effectively orally and in writing. Leadership and management experience preferred.
