The Child Development Division in the Department for Children and Families is recruiting a Director of Operations. This is senior management position in the Division reporting directly to the Deputy Commissioner, with responsibility for representing/leading the Division when the Deputy is not available.

The Director of Operations role in CDD requires strong fiscal, technical, strategic and leadership skills. This position facilitates and directs the collective work of the CDD Management Team and participates in strategic planning and integration across CDD units, programs and services. It is responsible for fiscal accountability, IT systems, continuous quality improvement and organizational development.

A successful candidate will be organized, proactive, able to work with autonomy and in collaboration with others and be a great communicator.

The position is located in the Waterbury State Office Complex with some in-state travel to community partners sites and some out-of-state travel to national conferences.
