STARS Resource Bundles Now Available
To promote the revised model and help your program continuously strengthen quality, the STARS team designed 17 different resource bundles filled with books and materials for your programs. Depending on your license type, you may choose between three and five bundles for your program. You can view the resource bundles and make your selections online. Only one submission per license number will be accepted. The submission deadline is Wednesday, July 31. Email stars@vermont.gov with questions.
Apply by July 12 to Join a Provider Focus Group About CCFAP
The Child Trends research center will conduct focus groups this summer with early care and education providers to learn about their experiences with recent changes to the Child Care Financial Assistance Program. They hope to recruit a range of home-based and center-based providers from across the state to participate. Child Trends will provide all participants with a $50 Amazon, Walmart, or Hannaford’s e-gift card as a thank you for sharing their time.

July 15 Deadline for CDD-funded Professional Supports
Applications for the following programs administered by Vermont Association for the Education of Young Children (VTAEYC) are due July 15:
- Recognition Bonuses: Reminder, there is a temporary, time-limited grace period for those who have earned an Early Childhood Level Certificate or a Vermont Afterschool Professional Development Certificate/Credential since 2018 but didn’t receive a bonus. - Student Loan Repayment Assistance Supplements: The Student Loan Repayment Assistance Program offers up to $4,000 in education debt relief per year for eligible Vermont early childhood educators. Apply online by July 15 and you may qualify for a one-time supplemental payment of an additional $4,000!
- T.E.A.C.H. (Teacher Education and Compensation Helps) Early Childhood® Vermont Scholarship Program provides the early childhood workforce access to debt-free educational opportunities. Find out more on the VTAEYC website and apply by July 15 for the fall 2024 semester.

Special Accommodation Grant Applications
The Child Development Division is revising the Special Accommodations Grants program to reflect feedback from the field. Look for a revised application in mid-August that will allow support for up to 12 months and streamline some elements of the process. The SAG application process is paused for July.
