St. Alban's Women Create Bags of Love for Kids in Foster Care!

05 May 2016

A group of women in Franklin County spend time each week sewing handmade quilts and putting together bags of love for kids in foster care.  Each bag includes a quilt and age-appropriate personal care items and toys.

The bags are delivered to the DCF Family Services District Office in St. Albans. They are then provided to children who have been removed from their homes, families, clothes, toys and all that is familiar.

The group receives generous donations from the community, including money, fabric, toys, and helping hands. Their effort is conducted under the nationwide umbrella organization It’s My Very Own.
