Internet Essentials Is Supporting Low-Income Vermonters Through the Coronavirus Pandemic
13 March 2020
Internet Essentials from Comcast provides affordable internet service and a computer to those who:
- Qualify based on income and other factors, and
- Live in an area served by Comcast.
Starting March 16, 2020, Comcast will be doing two new things to help families through this crisis:
- Offering new customers 60 days of complimentary Internet Essentials service, normally available to qualified low-income households for $9.95/month.
- Increasing speeds for the Internet Essentials service from 15/2 Mbps to 25/3 Mbps for all new and existing customers. This will be the speed of the service going forward. This will help ensure Internet Essentials customers can use their internet service for any increased need (e.g., to work or study from home).
