Week of the Young Child 2025
As we celebrate this week, I want to take this opportunity to express my gratitude for the unwavering dedication and hard work of our incredible early childhood community.
Every day, you create safe, supportive, and enriching experiences and environments that allow children to learn, grow, and thrive. Your creativity, passion, skill, and effort—often unrecognized—have a profound impact on children, families, and the entire community.
In these increasingly uncertain times, your resilience and commitment shine through. Despite the challenges we face, the love and care you provide continue to be a beacon of hope and stability for so many.
On behalf of the entire team at the Child Development Division, thank you for being the light that guides and nurtures our youngest children. Your work is invaluable, and we are truly grateful for everything you do.
With heartfelt appreciation,
Janet McLaughlin
Deputy Commissioner, Department for Children and Families
Child Development Division
