Thanks to the staff of the Rutland Regional Medical Center

30 August 2017

A few days before the start of the 2017-2018 school year, staff from the Rutland Regional Medical Center (RRMC) delivered much-needed schools supplies to the DCF Family Services Office in Rutland.  These supplies were distributed to children and teens in foster care and local families going through difficult times.

Their incredibly generous donation included:

  • 64 backpack
  • Thousands of pens & pencils
  • Hundreds of notebooks, folders, erasers and glue sticks
  • Dozens of boxes of crayons, colored pencils and markers
  • Hundreds of other back-to-school items (e.g., binder clips, binders, book covers, calculators, highlighters, loose leaf paper, paper clips, pencil cases, pencil sharpeners, protractors, rulers, scissors, sheet protectors and water bottles)

Sarah Donaldson organized this effort by the Financial Service Line at RRMC, which includes, Medical Records, Patient Financial Services, Finance, Central Scheduling, Pre-registration, Prior Authorization, Registration, Gift Shop, Rutland Health Foundation, Marketing, Financial Counselors, and HIM Coding.

Their generosity truly demonstrates how we, as a community, can come together to support children and families in need.
