Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center

Woodside Juvenile Rehab CenterThe Woodside Juvenile Rehabilitation Center, known simply as Woodside, is operated by the Family Services Division of the Vermont Department for Children and Families.

Our Purpose

Woodside provides short- and long-term placements and treatment services for youth — in a safe and secure environment. Residents receive medical and psychiatric services in the least-restrictive setting possible given their needs.

Who We Serve

We serve youth ages 10 to 17 who:

  • Are in DCF custody
  • Have delinquency charges or adjudications
  • Exhibit harmful behaviors towards themselves or others
  • Require significant treatment intervention

Youth in the custody of the Department of Corrections may also be placed at Woodside.

Treatment Services

We follow best practices in juvenile justice and provide specialized, evidence-based treatment services, putting us at the cutting edge of juvenile rehabilitation centers.

Placement here is not meant as punishment. It’s a unique opportunity to help youth learn how to face their challenges and build on their strengths so they can be successful when they return to their communities.

Our hope is that residents see Woodside as an opportunity and take full advantage of everything that's offered.
