Tommy is 12-years-old. Here’s what he would like you to know about him.
My favorite foods:
Pies (especially banana cream) and vanilla pudding with chocolate chips.
My favorite things:
Animals (especially puppies and kittens), reading, and video games.
Things I don’t like:
Math, although I am good at it. The dark.
Activities I enjoy:
Building club houses out of wood. Skiing, biking, swimming, and running around making lots of noise. I also enjoy burping. I am a great burper! And I'd like to learn to hunt.
What I want from a family:
I want an active family who will teach me things.
What we want families to know about him:
Tommy is a very active child who needs to be kept busy. He responds well to structure and consistency but frequently needs redirection. He experienced significant neglect and abuse in his life and worries about family members he used to take care of.
What we are seeking in a family for Tommy:
Parents who know how to help a child feel safe; are familiar with the effects of abuse and neglect on children; will participate in recommended trainings and therapy sessions; are patient and loving with him even if he is slow to respond; are not afraid to seek outside help if and when they need it; and can provide him with the consistency, routine, and structure he needs to thrive.
