Codey

Codey is ten years old. Here's what he would like you to know about him.

My Favorite Things:
My bike, and Native American dancing (Codey has connections with the Abenaki Tribe).

Activities I Enjoy:
Fishing, riding my bike, 4-wheeling, playing outdoors, hands-on activities, farming, and taking care of animals.

What I Want In A Family:
A family who respects one another. Parents who will help me feel safe and give me a sense of belonging. A family who will encourage me and support my involvement in sports and afterschool activities.

What I Would Like Families to Know About Me:
I love the outdoors. I am kind, considerate, and like to be part of problem solving. I have worked hard over the past year to figure out how to deal with things that bother me.

What We'd Like You To Know About Codey:
Codey will need both individual and family attachment therapy. He will also need to participate in therapy that focuses on appropriate boundaries. Codey needs help learning about his feelings, naming them, and reacting to them appropriately. Because of his history, Codey struggles with balancing his emotional needs with those of others.

He will need constant supervision when in casual social situations with other children, consistent expectations, verbal processing, appropriate modeling, nurturing, and a sense of humor.

What We are Seeking in a Family for Codey:
Codey needs a balance of appropriate female and male parental figures. He needs to be able to attach to his parent or parents without the interference of other children. He will do well with parents who can focus on him.

Codey longs for a traditional family situation with routines and expectations. He wants a place to call home, his home.
