The Economic Services Division:

• Helps Vermonters to stay healthy by connecting them to health care programs;
   
• Helps put food on the table and improve nutrition by providing eligible Vermonters with food stamps and the seasonal Farm to Family Program;
   
• Helps families to go to work and become self-sufficient through Reach Up--Vermont's public assistance program;
   
• Keeps Vermonters warm by providing home energy assistance;
   
• Helps aged, blind, or disabled people to stay in their homes and meet their basic needs;
   
• Provides emergency assistance, including help with housing, prescription drugs, burial costs, and other urgent needs; and
   
• Helps Vermonters to get and maintain telephone services.
