Find Child Care

CDD offers three ways to help you find child care, including family child care homes and center-based programs such as early child care, preschool, and before- and after-school programs.

  1. Search our Child Care Information Database.

Search for regulated child care providers online.

  2. Talk to your local child care referral specialist.

Each agency has a child care referral specialist who is specially trained to help you search for child care.

  3. Use the STARS program to find a child care provider.

The STep Ahead Recognition System (or STARS) is Vermont's quality rating system for child care, preschool, and afterschool programs. Go to the STARS website to find a participating provider near you.
