Note: These drafts are not the final drafts of the regulations. These drafts will be worked on at the March 9th Workgroup meeting and another draft will come out after that meeting. 

Opportunities for input:

There are multiple opportunities to have input into the regulation revisions:

  • Feedback on this final draft will be collected through an online survey through March 6, 2013 - click here to leave comments.
  • Talk to a work group member - below is a list of members by meeting location.
  • During the promulgation process in the spring of 2013 there will be a public comment opportunity with the final draft of the regulations.

Timeline

This process will be in two parts:

  1. The development phase will start in January 2012 and the goal is to end in March 2013.
  2. The promulgation phase will start in the spring of 2013 and end in the summer of 2013 with newly adopted regulations.

Process Management Team Information

Work groups across the state are meeting to develop draft regulations. These groups were created by individuals requesting to be involved in the process. Information about the process can be found in the work group meeting pages. This includes:

  • Drafts of regulations and definitions
  • Recommendations of best practices
  • Meeting agendas and notes

Group Membership: Johnson Site, Montpelier Site, Rutland Site, Springfield Site, St. Albans Site, and Williston Site

The Process Management Team reviewed the comments received through the Work Groups and the online comments and developed a final draft of the regulations.  Below are samples of the worksheets the team is using with some of the comments received. (These do not represent all of the comments received during this process.) These documents were used to guide discussions on licensing revisions at Process Management Team Meetings. These documents were created by combining and summarizing comments from the monthly transcripts of the Workgroups, Process Management Team members, NARA, Vermont committees input  (e.g., Professional Preparation and Development and Nutrition and Physical Activity in Child Care), as well as comments made by providers, parents and other interested individuals on the CDD website.
