- Begin with what you like about the care your child receives.
- Explain why you are concerned.
- Ask for an explanation, "Why is the situation occurring?"
- If possible, offer to work with the person to change the problem.

Not sure if you have a valid concern? Sometimes parents need more information to figure out if they have a valid concern. The following agencies support Vermont parents and their child care concerns:
- Child Care Resource and Referral agencies - provides families information on child care in Vermont and assists families in finding providers that meet their needs (link to list within sit (find childcare now, or link to VACCRRA member agencies page)
- Vermont Parent Information Center (VPIC) offers support and information to families of children with special needs from birth to 26 years of age.
- Parent Child Centers- Provide home visiting as part of a variety of supports and services for families. Each center can also connect family members to more information and help.
- The Child Care Consumer Line (CCCL) - A hotline for parents with child care related questions and concerns. Call 1-800-540-7942 for assistance.
