Social Work Positions with FSD

Are you considering a career in public child welfare or youth justice?

If the answer is yes, we hope you will explore a career with the Family Services Division of DCF. Family Services is a great place to start a career in public service. Every day, you will be doing a job worth doing.  You will be helping families to stay together safely. And when that is not possible, you will help them work towards reunification or another plan for permanence.  You will work with a great group of colleagues, committed to supporting you to be your best.

Make no mistake, though. This is a tough job. The children and families we serve have had very difficult life experiences. This is painful for them – and for you as a social worker.  The workload is substantial, and it will be difficult to set priorities. At times, you will be asked to work after hours and on weekends.

After nearly 35 years in this work, I would not trade my career for any other. If you think you are up the challenge, please take the time to find out more about us and our work by exploring the links below.
